Diamond FX 50 gram split cakes are large split cakes with multiple face paint colours placed next to each other. These split cakes are used in combination with a sponge. By loading several colours at once, they can be applied together in a single movement. This makes them suitable for quickly covering larger areas and creating base layers, such as for kids’ face painting and festival makeup.

Why choose a Diamond FX split cake

Diamond FX is a wax-based face paint that is highly pigmented and activated with water. The paint is known for its bright colours and firm structure. This works well when sponging, as the colours are picked up evenly and blend nicely on the skin.

Using a sponge

Cut a regular face painting sponge in half and use the inside, flat side to load the paint. Pick up all colours at once and apply the paint to the face using a dabbing motion.

Use only a small amount of water and make sure the sponge is well squeezed. This helps keep the colours bright and clean.

A petal (butterfly) sponge is useful for sponging smaller areas such as the eyes. The shape fits well on the eye, allowing you to apply a multicolour eye design in a single movement.

Split cakes and stencils

Large Diamond FX split cakes can be combined with face painting stencils. By working over the stencil with a sponge, you can create a playful and eye-catching multicolour result in one movement.

Removing the paint

Remove the face paint using a mild, non-moisturising soap with cold to lukewarm water. Gently massage the soap over the painted skin before rinsing. Repeat if necessary until all paint is removed.

Storage and care

Wipe the split cake clean and dry after use. Wash sponges and tools with water and soap and allow everything to dry completely before storing. Store the paint in a dark place at room temperature.

Temperature changes during storage or transport may sometimes cause small cracks in the paint. These usually disappear during use and do not affect quality or shelf life.
