Use / tips

Use a flat brush, straight or angled. Spray a small amount of water onto the split cake and move your brush back and forth across the colours until they are evenly loaded.

For Diamond FX split cakes, use different sizes of flat split cake brushes. Working with multiple sizes allows you to adapt your strokes and designs to the face. From large to small:

• Size 1 inch: fills the entire cake and is ideal for extra wide strokes
• Size 3/4: loads all colours evenly and is perfect for large strokes
• Size 5/8: together with 3/4 the most commonly used size
• Size 1/2: suitable for smaller shapes and details
